1.

Rotation While Leveling

This guide is designed for level 90. If you want to see how the rotation changes as you level, then check out the leveling guide below!

White Mage Leveling Guide COMING SOON!

Like all other healers, White Mage has a very simple damage toolkit, consisting of only a handful of spells and abilities. It has one DoT White Mage DPS Rotation for Healers - Endwalker 6.5 (1) Dia, one single target fillerWhite Mage DPS Rotation for Healers - Endwalker 6.5 (2) Glare III, one AoE filler White Mage DPS Rotation for Healers - Endwalker 6.5 (3) Holy III, one AoE ability White Mage DPS Rotation for Healers - Endwalker 6.5 (4) Assize,a haste buff White Mage DPS Rotation for Healers - Endwalker 6.5 (5) Presence of Mind, and an AoE resource-gated nuke White Mage DPS Rotation for Healers - Endwalker 6.5 (6) Afflatus Misery. The cast majority of your rotation will consist of maintaining White Mage DPS Rotation for Healers - Endwalker 6.5 (7) Dia on the boss and otherwise spammingWhite Mage DPS Rotation for Healers - Endwalker 6.5 (8) Glare III.

3.

Openers

The White Mage opener is fairly straightforward. White Mage DPS Rotation for Healers - Endwalker 6.5 (9) Glare III is always precast2s before the boss is pulled for some free extra damage. White Mage DPS Rotation for Healers - Endwalker 6.5 (10) Dia is applied as soon as possible, while White Mage DPS Rotation for Healers - Endwalker 6.5 (11) Assize and White Mage DPS Rotation for Healers - Endwalker 6.5 (12) Presence of Mind are used during raid buffs to maximize damagein the raid buff window. There are two opener variations that share these same basic principles.

3.1.

Standard or Non-Swift Opener

This is the basic opener that is always reliable and does not risk an earlyuse of White Mage DPS Rotation for Healers - Endwalker 6.5 (13) Swiftcast. The only downside is that weaving White Mage DPS Rotation for Healers - Endwalker 6.5 (14) Assize underWhite Mage DPS Rotation for Healers - Endwalker 6.5 (15) Presence of Mind can risk clipping in pings above ~100ms, though usually the effect isextremely minimal. A higher-ping friendly opener can be found farther down this page.

3.2.

Swift Opener

As mentioned above, weaving under White Mage DPS Rotation for Healers - Endwalker 6.5 (16) Presence of Mind can cause clipping at higher pings. This opener uses White Mage DPS Rotation for Healers - Endwalker 6.5 (17) Swiftcast to weave White Mage DPS Rotation for Healers - Endwalker 6.5 (18) Assize and White Mage DPS Rotation for Healers - Endwalker 6.5 (19) Presence of Mindin a single GCD for a slightly more high-ping friendly opener. Keep in mind that if you need White Mage DPS Rotation for Healers - Endwalker 6.5 (20) Swiftcastearly in the fight for movement during a mechanic, then you should use the standard opener above instead.

4.

Single-Target Rotation Priority

  1. Use White Mage DPS Rotation for Healers - Endwalker 6.5 (21) Presence of Mind on cooldown or with the rest of your raid buffs after the opener.
  2. Use White Mage DPS Rotation for Healers - Endwalker 6.5 (22) Assize on cooldown after the opener.
  3. Maintain White Mage DPS Rotation for Healers - Endwalker 6.5 (23) Dia on the boss as long as the boss will be active for at least 15s.
  4. Use White Mage DPS Rotation for Healers - Endwalker 6.5 (24) Afflatus Misery in raid buffs, for movement, or before using additional Lily heals to prevent overcapping red lilies (see note below).
  5. Use White Mage DPS Rotation for Healers - Endwalker 6.5 (25) Afflatus Rapture or White Mage DPS Rotation for Healers - Endwalker 6.5 (26) Afflatus Solace to prevent overcapping blue lilies, or for healing or movement.
  6. Use White Mage DPS Rotation for Healers - Endwalker 6.5 (27) Lucid Dreaming on cooldown below 8000 MP to maintain MP.
  7. Use White Mage DPS Rotation for Healers - Endwalker 6.5 (28) Glare III whenever you have time to cast it and do not need to GCD heal.
  8. Use White Mage DPS Rotation for Healers - Endwalker 6.5 (29) Afflatus Rapture or White Mage DPS Rotation for Healers - Endwalker 6.5 (30) Afflatus Solace for movement if you do nothave time to cast White Mage DPS Rotation for Healers - Endwalker 6.5 (31) Glare III and do not have White Mage DPS Rotation for Healers - Endwalker 6.5 (32) Swiftcast or are holding it for additional movement.
  9. Use White Mage DPS Rotation for Healers - Endwalker 6.5 (33) Dia for movement outside its natural refresh if you do not have Lilies or White Mage DPS Rotation for Healers - Endwalker 6.5 (34) Swiftcast.

Note: As of 6.1 using White Mage DPS Rotation for Healers - Endwalker 6.5 (35) Afflatus Rapture or White Mage DPS Rotation for Healers - Endwalker 6.5 (36) Afflatus Solace to buildWhite Mage DPS Rotation for Healers - Endwalker 6.5 (37) Afflatus Misery is now equal damage to spamming White Mage DPS Rotation for Healers - Endwalker 6.5 (38) Glare III onsingle target, although using Misery in buffs makes it a damage gain to use lilies isntead. Lily heals can now be used fairly freely and overcapping lilies should typically be avoided.

5.

Multi-Target Damage

Sustained multi-target fights are very rare in FFXIV, and most of your multi-target damage will be dungeon mob pullsor the odd add phase in a high level encounter.

  1. White Mage DPS Rotation for Healers - Endwalker 6.5 (39) Presence of Mind should still be used on cooldown.
  2. White Mage DPS Rotation for Healers - Endwalker 6.5 (40) Assize can be held to hit additional targets; eg. using White Mage DPS Rotation for Healers - Endwalker 6.5 (41) Assizeon three targets vs one target is worth losing a one-target White Mage DPS Rotation for Healers - Endwalker 6.5 (42) Assize.
  3. Use White Mage DPS Rotation for Healers - Endwalker 6.5 (43) Afflatus Misery when available.
  4. White Mage DPS Rotation for Healers - Endwalker 6.5 (44) Holy III is a damage gain over White Mage DPS Rotation for Healers - Endwalker 6.5 (45) Glare III at three or more targets.
  5. Using White Mage DPS Rotation for Healers - Endwalker 6.5 (46) Afflatus Rapture or White Mage DPS Rotation for Healers - Endwalker 6.5 (47) Afflatus Solace to buildWhite Mage DPS Rotation for Healers - Endwalker 6.5 (48) Afflatus Misery is worthwhile in uptime on two or more targets, but Lilies arestill better spent for movement or healing than raw damage when possible. Avoid overcapping Lilies.
  6. At two to four targets, maintain White Mage DPS Rotation for Healers - Endwalker 6.5 (49) Dia on all targets assuming they will live the full duration.
  7. At five or more targets, avoid using White Mage DPS Rotation for Healers - Endwalker 6.5 (50) Dia and instead spam White Mage DPS Rotation for Healers - Endwalker 6.5 (51) Holy III.

6.

Maintaining Uptime

A large majority of the damage you do is simply based on GCD uptime, maximizing the amount of time you spend usingWhite Mage DPS Rotation for Healers - Endwalker 6.5 (52) Glare III on the boss. Extended movement is the enemy of uptime, but you have several tools to deal with these.

  1. Slidecasting
    • "Slidecasting" involves moving before a cast has completed without interrupting the cast. The slidecast window in FFXIV is quite large compared to other MMOs.The exact timing depends on your ping, but it generally starts about 0.5s before the cast bar is finished. Between the slidecast window and the ~1sbetween White Mage DPS Rotation for Healers - Endwalker 6.5 (53) Glare III casts, you can be quite mobile all the time and easily preposition for most mechanics.
  2. White Mage DPS Rotation for Healers - Endwalker 6.5 (54) Dia
    • White Mage DPS Rotation for Healers - Endwalker 6.5 (55) Dia is instant cast, so you can use your natural DoT refreshes to freely move during mechanics or to preposition yourself. Do not force early DoT refreshes to move though.
  3. White Mage DPS Rotation for Healers - Endwalker 6.5 (56) Afflatus Rapture or White Mage DPS Rotation for Healers - Endwalker 6.5 (57) Afflatus Solace
    • Lily heals can be used for movement outside natural White Mage DPS Rotation for Healers - Endwalker 6.5 (58) Dia refreshes, but should be prioritized for healing when necessary.
    • Afflatus spells are all instant cast and either deal damage directly or heal and contribute towards charging an White Mage DPS Rotation for Healers - Endwalker 6.5 (59) Afflatus Misery.
    • White Mage DPS Rotation for Healers - Endwalker 6.5 (60) Afflatus Misery deals 1240p damage and takes three Lily heals to generate, meaning over four GCD's it deals a total of 1240p, exactly equal to four White Mage DPS Rotation for Healers - Endwalker 6.5 (61) Glare III's 1240p.
    • Lily spells should always be considered in sets of four GCDs. Once you use one Lily, you are instantly down 310p, but using the next three gains 1240p back, equal to all the lost GCDs.
  4. White Mage DPS Rotation for Healers - Endwalker 6.5 (62) Swiftcast
    • White Mage DPS Rotation for Healers - Endwalker 6.5 (63) Swiftcast makes your next spell instant cast and can be usedon White Mage DPS Rotation for Healers - Endwalker 6.5 (64) Glare III to give a GCD of free movement. This is notadvisable in progression and can be dangerous when playing in otherunoptimized situations when you may need White Mage DPS Rotation for Healers - Endwalker 6.5 (65) Swiftcast for usewith White Mage DPS Rotation for Healers - Endwalker 6.5 (66) Raise.
  5. White Mage DPS Rotation for Healers - Endwalker 6.5 (67) Afflatus Misery
    • If you already have a White Mage DPS Rotation for Healers - Endwalker 6.5 (68) Afflatus Misery available and none of the above tools to deal with a movement,White Mage DPS Rotation for Healers - Endwalker 6.5 (69) Afflatus Misery is a great movement tool.
